Choreographic Collision

Choreographic collision is my creative project. It's a collective of dance artists, that is based in Zürich and was born inside of the Opernhaus Zürich as an independent group.

The members of this collective variate depending on the project and work to be developed, and we are happy to welcome different art workers interested in the research and development of art medias that are related to the body and its possibilities.

Our main goals are to connect, to research and to develop.

Connect

Our goal is to able to communicate with groups of people from different places, ages, social backgrounds and believes. We want to offer them experiences, feelings and ideas they possibly never experimented before.

We are interested in finding a communication channel to allow the understanding of what are the needs, fears, hopes, loves, thoughts and secrets from the most variate groups of people, and with this understanding, research what the body, as a communication and connection media, can provide for them as improvement in their relation to the World.

Research

In this aim for a deeper connection, we feel we need to find appropriate tools in order to be effective. We want to provide experiences that have the power of changing

people. Our goal is to share experiences that make people react, that make people transform, question, think, talk, feel... And for that a careful research of the methods, techniques, approaches and aesthetics has to be done.

We create various different performances, in different formats, lengths and aesthetics, aiming for different environments and public. We document and study the achievements of the pieces, trying to understand how much of what we wanted initially to deliver and to trigger, was achieved.

Develop

Through that path, our goal is to develop a collection of possible languages, a collection of tools that help us to create, to deliver strong messages, to communicate effectively.

We have a special interest in the development of movements in relation with other media like spoken words,  lights, new technologies and every-day-objects.

We are constantly opened to new proposals, collaborations, partnerships and collective researches. If you have something to say, please contact us, we will hear you.
